We are a small family run business based out of Hobart Tasmania, and we have a passion for creating unique customised Tiny Homes. OPUS Tiny Homes Hobart are designed with functionality and liveability in mind, whilst not compromising on style and comfort. We believe your Tiny Home should be beautiful, practical and affordable.
Our Certified Builder Vernon has had almost 30 years experience in the construction industry. He is a multi-traded builder with a portfolio of commercial, industrial, residential projects and of course Tiny Homes. His background makes him a highly sought after builder and his passion is designing and building Transportable Homes.
Vernon is supported by his partner Rachael who compliments his construction experience with design and client liaisons. Rachael has had over 20 years in business management and makes sure everything runs smoothly, on time and on budget.
We can also manage all the earthworks and site preparation for you, making sure you have a level, supported, free draining surface to stand your Tiny Home on.
Tiny Homes are increasing in popularity for their versatility, affordability and fast build turnaround times. A Tiny Home can be designed on wheels (THOW) or built on a chassis as a Modular and transported to your site. Depending on your location, needs and space requirements, we will work with you to design a model that will best suit your lifestyle and budget.
Tiny Homes on Wheels (THOW)
To be legally towed on the road, THOW have a maximum size of 4.3m high, 2.5m wide, 12.5m long and 4.5 tonnes. Exceeding these dimensions would require a special permit for transportation on Australian roads.
THOW can be designed as single level unit, loft, or double loft layout.
Modular Tiny Homes
These models have the flexibility of more space. They are built on a chassis and transported on a flat bed truck, so you can go up to 4 meters wide allowing for more layout options.
